I am absolutely amazing.
I say that because I’ve mastered the art of being humble. If I weren’t most likely the best human being alive at the subtle art of humility, I’d go all out and let you know that I am the GOAT! (Greatest Of All Time, which describes only a fraction of my level of excellence.)
However, mastering humility is a skill some of you can attain—or at least be slightly better at than you are now.
What follows is, of course, a genius-level primer on how to be humble. You’ll probably need to read it at least 25 times and take several pages of notes to begin to understand what I’m saying. I’ll try to come down to your level for a minute to move you one decimal point closer to where I am on the hierarchy of awesome. Try not to suck as bad as you usually do and prepare to have your mind blown. This guide to humility is almost the best thing anyone has ever written.
You’re welcome.
True Humility
I try not to think about myself too much. If I did, I wouldn’t get as much done as I do. There’s a lot to think about on the topic of me.
Stop thinking about me for a moment and pay attention to the knowledge I’m about to drop.
Sometimes, people besides myself say things that are kind of smart. Take, for example, C.S. Lewis. He said some smart stuff. One of the most famous quotes about humility wasn’t by me, but by C.S. Lewis. He said, “True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it’s thinking of yourself less.” Thank God he said it so I didn’t have to.
“True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it’s thinking of yourself less.” – C.S. Lewis
I’m not going to think less of myself because that would be dishonest. God made me, so I know I’m beyond words like “awesome.” No one has invented a word that describes how amazing I really am.
Let’s talk about you for a minute. You must be better than at least 50% of the slack-jawed yokels who don’t read this website. You’re reading this now, so I know you have excellent taste. One day, when you meet me in person and spend time in my orbit, you’ll feel what it’s like to be surrounded by greatness. It’s going to be a great day for you. Once again, you’re welcome.
Being Humble
Think more about other people. When you find yourself distracted, thinking about boring stuff like yourself, stop, quiet your mind, refresh WildBillKerr.com, and hope I’ve taken some of my valuable time to write a new post, record a new podcast, star in a new video, or announce a new live event.
You’ll get better at being humble. I know you will, and I know most things. (I would’ve said everything, but I’m demonstrating my humility.)
Humble yourself and send me a message on the contact page. If I can help you with valuable knowledge or you have an idea on how I can be even more super, let me know.
